ReVentas Technology

Unique

Can remove all contaminants – colours, odours, additives.

Efficient

Can tune material properties for end application requirements.

Sustainable

Transforms the way we recycle – plastic diverted from landfill/incineration.

How it Works

The patented ReVentas technology process combines the the benefits of chemical purification technologies with it’s ability to tune the end material properties for market application and removes all contaminants without the need for further costly and environmentally friendly petrochemical processing.

Materials

The majority of post-consumer and post-industrial mixed plastic waste streams are landfilled or incinerated as they are currently considered to be too difficult to recycle. The problem is that these streams still hold valuable PE (Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene), however, they are contaminated with colours, additives and other contaminants.

The ReVentas technology processes the deemed difficult to recycle post-consumer and post-industrial plastics, overcoming the problem by purifying the valuable plastics, returning it to a virgin-like plastic. This can be fine-tuned for reuse and remanufacturing.

Being able to purify the plastic waste streams of contaminants, while still having the control over the properties, enables it to be used in more applications such as consumer products and food packaging.

Sustainability

ReVentas is bridging the gap in the plastic supply chain, making plastics work for our society as well as for our environment.

The circular economy seeks to transform the current linear approach by how we manage resources, how we make and use products and how we reuse the material after we have finished with it.

Our technology takes the difficult to recycle post-consumer and post-industrial waste streams and turns it into materials that can be reused and remanufactured into new products. It enables recyclable plastics to be more readily available to be used in new product, rather than the waste be exported or landfilled.

The technology also uses non hazardous solvents at lower pressures and temperatures reducing environmental costs and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
